My family

Hang on for soggy babblings about my loved ones.

Rita

First of all, there's my wife.
There's a very special place in my life for her. She's my closest friend and the reason I draw breath.

Torgrim

My brother! Well, we're not actual brother seeing as we don't have the same mother, but different fathers.
I credit him with the fact that I'm still here. Without him my teens would have sucked the life out of me for sure. Second only to my wife, he is the best friend I have.
He's also my most trusted advisor and my sense of direction in life. Whenever I have a moral dilemma, I ask myself what Torgrim would advice me to do. Or, of course, I talk to him.

Marianne

My sister is my actual 100% blood relative sister. I don't think she realizes just how much she means to me. She's sort of the part of my life I haven't reached yet, and since she's not at all pushy about it I'm able to learn from her experiences.
Her divorce, for example, thought me a lot about adult relationship dynamics which I've since had a lot of use for in my own marriage.
She's got three kids, and they're very important to me as well, but I'm not comfortable naming them online seeing as they're so young.

My parents

I'm not extremely close with my parents as such, but they mean a lot to me. I have a lot of childhood memory that mean a lot to me, and I always feel welcome both in their home and at the cabin they own deep in the woods.
One of my fondest childhood memories is my father reading Lord of the Rings to me when I was about 8, and when he first sparked my interest in programming by having me answer a simple guessing game he had written in BASICA on our Dragon32 somewhere in the early nineties.
